We’ll come out to your house and an experienced roofing inspector will carefully check for problems in your roof, checking for even the smallest issues. If you’re filing an insurance claim for the new roof (typically because of hail, high wind, ice, or other damage caused by the weather), a professional adjuster from the insurance company will examine your damaged roof. We strongly recommend making certain we are on-site during the entire inspection. A complete roof replacement means that we’ll remove all existing shingles.
This also includes flashing and other damaged roofing components. We will remove all roofing debris, discarding or recycling it off-site.
Once shingles and other components have been removed, our roofers will thoroughly inspect the roof surface (decking) and make any needed repairs. During this part of the process, existing roofing nails will be set, and re-nailing will be done to completely secure the newly repaired roof decking. When all damaged decking has been replaced and the surface is secure, leak barriers will be installed. The entire surface of the roof will be covered with a high-quality felt underlayment. With leak barriers and roofing felt in place, flashing, jack boots, drip edge, and other components will be installed to prepare for the shingles. This includes a starter course of shingles that will provide much needed wind protection needed specifically for Dallas, Texas homeowners.
When the roof deck is prepped and ready, our crew will install new shingles on top of the roofing felt and leak barriers. There’s many different colors and styles of shingles and roofs to choose from!
Once the installation is complete, high-grade roofing cement is used to thoroughly seal areas around flashing, vent pipes, and other critical locations.
To further protect the roof and enhance its visual appeal, roofing components such as flashing and vent pipes are painted to closely match the color of the newly installed shingles.
Immediately following the installation, our crews will begin the cleanup process. This includes removing all construction debris, followed by a “magnetic sweep” to ensure that all nails and other metal fasteners have been safely removed from the property. The last thing you need is a flat tire because your roofing contractor wasn’t thorough in cleaning up the mess they made on your property. Once the area around the home is completely clean, our team will perform a final inspection to ensure the workmanship and quality of the job. Once we’re done and have left, you wouldn’t even know that Elevated Roofing was even there (except for the beautiful, sturdy new roof on your home)!
